We identified an office building let to a local authority at a low rent and on a lease in excess of ninety years. Acting on behalf of a consortium of investors, we arranged debt finance and negotiated the acquisition.
 
Eighteen months later, we commissioned a rent review report and instructed a leading QC to provide an opinion on the relevant provisions in the lease. This led to a 40% uplift in the rent and a consequential increase in the capital value.
 
We then negotiated a sale to the tenant at a substantial profit, giving the investors a 300% return on their equity.
